KIDDO PRIVACY POLICY

The Kiddo ("we", "us", “the App”, “the application” and "Kiddo") means the Kiddo mobile application, which is owned and managed by Leo Technologies Ltd ("we", "us", “the App”, and "Kiddo"), a DIFC registered company (license number CL3160). Kiddo provides a digital platform wherein the parents (“Clients” or “users”) and the service providers (“Merchants”) can be brought together to enable a smooth transaction between them. Kiddo itself has no role in the execution or provision of Services/Products. Kiddo acknowledges and accepts the need and requirement to keep its customers’ personal information safe and secure.

Please read this Privacy Policy (“Policy”) carefully, to understand how we may collect, use and disclose your personal data, through the Kiddo platform/app (“App”) or otherwise in the course of our normal business operations. Kiddo reserves the right and the sole discretion to amend the Policy and will notify users of any changes to the Policy by posting an amended version of the Policy containing such changes on the App. The expression “amend” shall include addition, removal, enhancement or substitution howsoever reflected.

Agreement

You, hereby agree that by assessing the App and/or providing personal data to Kiddo, you acknowledge having read the Policy thoroughly and give consent to the use, store and/or sharing of your data in accordance with this Policy as amended or updated from time to time.

If you provide personal data on behalf of someone else when you create an account, you warrant that you have obtained the authorization from that person to provide such personal data on his/her behalf and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kiddo from any claim that such person may have. If your account is registered by someone else on your behalf and by using (or continuing to use) the App through your account, you are deemed to have agreed to the terms of this Policy.

Data that we may collect from you

Kiddo will/may gather the following types of personal data of our users/you:

  1. Data (such as your name, email address and telephone number) to create a user profile;

  2. In connection with an account sign-in facility, your password and log-in details;

  3. Your preferences (such as details of your family members), which help us provide you with a more tailored experience;

  4. Details of payment and billing for transactions (all Credit card details will directly sent to payment processor and will not be stored by Kiddo); and

  5. Information obtained from your social networking profile, if you log-in via a social networking site.

  7. Your Contact book to enable the Friends & Family Feature.

You can always choose not to provide your personal data, but you may not be able to access or use certain features or services of the App orobtain certain services (KiddoPay) from us. Whenever you volunteer personal data, you are consenting to the manner in which it will be handled in accordance with this Policy.

Additionally, non-personal data means “aggregate” and “de-personalized” information, which is data we collect about the use of Kiddo’s services, from which any personally identifiable data has been removed. We may use tools or third-party analytical software to automatically collect and use certain non-personal data that does not directly enable us to identify you. The types of non-personal data we may collect and use include, but are not limited to: (i) device properties, including, but not limited to IP address, Media Access Control (“MAC”) address and unique device identifier (“UDID”) or other device identifier; (ii) device software platform and firmware; (iii) mobile phone carrier; (iv) geographical data such as postcode and coarse location; (v) other non-personal data as reasonably required by Kiddo to enhance our products and services.

How do we use your data?

We will use the personal data you provide to
  • Register you to use the features on the App, to purchase an offer, to obtain a free listing, or to use a feature such as KiddoPay or to receive information;
  • Process your payments including credit/debit cards, Apple pay, cash and cheques collection;
  • Customize your online experience according to your chosen interests and preferences and enhance your current and future visits to the App and user experience with us;
  • Contact you in connection with an offer you are participating in, user reviews and/or to evaluate your service needs; and to contact you regarding additional services you may find useful;
  • Share information regarding our company, marketing information about our products and services or the products and services of other companies, and newsletters;
  • Conduct online surveys;
  • Improve our App, to monitor performance, to make the product easier for you and other users to use, and to manage features and offers made available through the App;
  • Notify you of technical updates or changes in the Policy;
  • Update and back-up our records;
  • Reduce credit risk, detect and protect us against error, fraud and other criminal activity;
  • Comply with the law, the requests of law enforcement and regulatory officials, or orders of court;
  • To enforce our legal rights and remedies; and
  • For such other purposes notified to you on or before collection or use of the data.
  • Connect with your friends and Family and show the activities bought by them.

Who do we share data with?

All credit/debit cards details will NOT be stored, sold, shared, rented or leased to any third parties. Kiddo does not intend to sell or share your personal data with any third party, except for the following:
  • Merchants from whom you buy the services via Kiddo. The use of your personal data will be governed by the terms of that Merchant’s own terms of supply and privacy policy, so ensure that you read the relevant terms and privacy policy carefully before you agree to purchase from, or participate with that third party merchant;
  • To any affiliate, subsidiary or partner of Kiddo; our technology, marketing and logistics service providers; credit card and payment processing companies; lawyers, auditors, professional advisors and investors of Kiddo; or any other agents, service providers or subcontractors acting for or on behalf of Kiddo, to the extent required to carry out the purposes set out in ‘How do we use your data?’ Section above, or to do anything at your request;
  • Where you expressly consent to such disclosure;
  • Where such disclosure is required or permitted by applicable law, statute, stock exchange regulation or by-law, regulatory or governmental order or court order;
  • In the event of a corporate sale, merger, reorganization, dissolution or similar event, personal data may be part of the transferred assets.

From time to time, we may collaborate with other third parties to organize joint marketing and promotional campaigns, offers or contests, and may require disclosure of your personal data to such third parties. In some cases, you may not be able to enjoy the promotion, offer or participate in the contest, unless you consent to disclosure of your data to our partner. You agree that we may transfer your personal data to our affiliates, subsidiaries and/or other third parties for the above-mentioned initiatives, as long as the personal data is handled in accordance with this Policy and all applicable laws.

‘Friends and Family’ feature

To make it easier to connect with your friends, the ‘Friends and Family’ feature allows Kiddo members to connect and search for other Kiddo members and/or invite friends and family to the App. Through this feature, other Kiddo members can search and connect with you based on your name, e-mail address or phone number, and you may search for friends who are using the App and who have consented to be found via their name, e-mail address or phone number. This featurealso allows us access to your mobile device’s address book and enables you to invite your friends to join Kiddo. Your purchases on the App will be viewable by the Kiddo members who have you as their contacts. You may select ‘Keep this private’ option at the time of purchase of any offers; if you wish to keep your particular purchase as private. In such a case no Kiddo member would able to see the purchase. This feature also allows us to access to your mobile device’s address book (contacts) which are then uploaded on our secure cloud servers to enable you to invite your friends to join Kiddo as well as show their activities on your dashboard.

Data retention

Personal data provided by you will be retained by Kiddo as long as the purpose for which data was collected continues and as per the internal policy and applicable laws. Thereafter, Kiddo will destroy or delete the information, or remove the means by which the data can be associated with you, unless its retention is required to satisfy legal, regulatory, accounting or other business requirements or to protect Kiddo’s interests.

Links to other sites

Kiddo may provide links to other sites ("Linked Sites”) which may be of relevance to you. Kiddo doesn’t represent these sites and or companies and has no control over their Privacy Policies. If you are visiting a site via a link on the App,
  • You hereby waive any claim against us with respect to the Linked Sites
  • You are advised to read the privacy policy of such other site for its policies regarding information tracking, collection, usage and security.

Location data

In order to get the most out of our service and to allow us to provide you with tailored offers, we need to process your approximate location from time to time. The types of location data that will be processed are your latitude, longitude, cell tower ID, etc. Your location data will only be processed for as long as necessary in order for us to respond to your request for tailored offers. After this, the data will be deleted. The location data may be transferred to our Merchants for the purpose of providing you with the best offers at that time to match your preferences. You can choose not to allow us to process your approximate location at the time you connect to the App, or any time after that either by changing the settings on your mobile device or by contacting us using the contact details at the end of this Policy. Please note that if you choose not to allow us to process your location data, we will not have enough data in order to provide you with the full benefit of our service (e.g. a list of tailored offers matched to your approximate location).

Tracking Methods

Kiddo will deploy and implement Tracking Methods. As you (and other users) browse the App, our servers and selected companies (Facebook, Google, Instagram, Branch.io, and similar others) with which Kiddo has an agreement may automatically collect and track certain information (‘Non-personal data’) about such visits; usually through the use of browser cookies, JavaScript files and tagging, web address tracking codes, file impression counts, “web beacons”, and the analysis of HTTP headers. These Tracking Methods provide information such as how many users visit the App, which pages the user visits and for how long, the date and time the user accesses the App, the internet address of the site from which the user is directly linked to the App and the links on the Website on which the user clicks. In addition, Kiddo may collect certain search parameters relating to searches conducted by the user which are not entered by the user.

Cookies

A Cookie is a small data string our server writes to your device’s internal drive that contains your unique user ID for the App. Cookies help us to identify new and returning users, analyze click-stream data, and track historical activity on the App, which allows Kiddo to give you a more personalized, useful experience. Cookies may be placed by Kiddo, by a third party that provides services to Kiddo, or a company with which Kiddo has an agreement.

Marketing to you

We may process your personal data to contact you via email, telephone, SMS or other methods of communication to provide you with information regarding our services that may be of interest to you. We may send information to you regarding our services, online surveys; confirmed transactions; newsletter; upcoming promotions that may be of interest to you, using the contact details that you have provided to us and always in compliance with applicable law. Additionally, we may allow our Merchants, and if you consent by opting-in to receive such information and offers, other carefully selected third parties, to send you information directly which you may find useful regarding their products and services.

Our selected third parties with which Kiddo has an agreement may implement Tracking Methods. Tracking Methods may be used to geographically target advertising, conduct online behavior studies and improve the effectiveness and quality of our online advertising. Google Analytics may be enabled to collect data about your traffic via the DoubleClick cookie in addition to data collected through the standard Google Analytics implementation.

Kiddo may, however, host (or contract with third parties to host) advertising linked to other websites (the “Kiddo-Hosted Ad(s)”). If you provide personally identifiable information while visiting any Kiddo-Hosted Ad, you will also be providing the personally identifiable information to the advertiser (and advertiser and/or Kiddo may be automatically collecting information while you visit any Kiddo-Hosted Ad). In addition, Kiddo may share the information which is automatically collected while you visit any Kiddo-Hosted Ad with advertisers in order to complete a transaction that you initiated or to assess and report the results of the ad. Kiddo is not responsible for the privacy practices employed by the advertiser. If you are visiting a Kiddo-Hosted Ad via a link on the App, you are advised to read the privacy policy of such advertisers.

Some of the advertisements you see on the App are selected and delivered by third parties, such as ad networks, advertising agencies, advertisers, and audience segment providers. These third parties may collect information about you and your online activities, either on the App or on other websites, through cookies, web beacons, and other technologies in an effort to understand your interests and deliver to you advertisements that are tailored to your interests. Please remember that we do not have access to, or control over, the information these third parties may collect. The information practices of these third parties are not covered by this Policy.

Payment processing

Payment details you provide will be encrypted using industry standard 128-bit secure sockets layer (SSL) technology before they are submitted to us or our Payment Solution Provider (PSP) partner over the internet. You will be providing credit or debit card information directly to the PSP (such as Payfort) which operates a secure server to process payment details, encrypting your credit/debit card information and authorizing payment. We do not store your credit/debit card number or security code on our servers, though it may transit through our servers as it passes to PSP. The information which you supply to our PSP is not within our control and is subject to PSP’s own privacy policy and terms and conditions.

Data security

Kiddo understands the importance of data privacy and is committed to protecting your personally identifiable information that you provide through the App. The App is protected with a variety of security measures such as change control procedures and physical access controls (and passwords, as applicable). Kiddo also implements other control mechanisms in an effort to help protect personally identifiable information that you provide from being lost, misused or altered inappropriately.

The App supports 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption to transmit certain information (e.g., credit/debit card information provided by the user and identification numbers provided by the user). SSL is a transport level technology for authentication and data encryption between a web server and a web browser. SSL sends data over the “socket”, which is a secure channel at the connection layer.

However, we cannot guarantee there will not be a breach, unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors, may compromise the security of your personal data. Kiddo does not warrant or guarantee in any way that your personal data or private communications will always remain private and/or safe. Kiddo hereby disclaims any responsibility or liability directly or indirectly arising out of or in connection with, any loss, theft, or unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal or similar actions with regard to any personal data held or maintained by us, except to the extent caused by our fault or negligence.
